Week4 Reading Review: Fro loci to Mobilitas Loci (Grounp1)

Home is pretty private space, usually  people think home is actual place or house. In this article, "home" is used for private and personal space. Think about private space, it used to be more fixed space, such as own bed room. This is because, peple can controle anything in a room (space), and keep many private staff. Media devices have same characteristic; people keep documrnts, photos and music in PC. Today, media device got another function  "mobility", which  made it possible to bring it to anywhere and anytime. Once we turn on the switch, there is no wall, but it creat our own private space. For example, on train, there are many people who are using ther mobile not only for talking, also serching or gaming. I red a pretty interesting research in Japan about mobile using in public. The question was "do you use mobile (except talking) on public transportation for what?" Majority of people answerd "Because, I need to check out something.", and "To kill time." And some people (not so many) answered "To escape". For example, if something happens on train, and they don't want to be involved it, they can ignore it by usign a monile phone. In that case "escape" does not mean runing away from there, but going into private space created by mobile phone. When we at home, it is usual to ignore and pretend to be abcence if somebody is knoking door. We can do same thing in public by carring mobile phone anytime anywhere. But I feel bit wired.
